Harrison Hill Retirement

In the fall of 2013, Benner & White teamed up with Baxter Properties to construct a 5 story, 126,000 square foot retirement community. The project is located in West Chester and just recently opened In August. This facility is designed for active adults over the age of 55.

This project consisted of prefabricated, heavy-gauge metal stud bearing & shear walls that were hoisted into place allowing us to complete each floor’s framing in about one week. The tight schedule was executed with precise panel construction by Frameco Building Systems. Along with supplying and installing the bearing walls, our scope consisted of metal roof trusses, interior metal stud framing, fire treated blocking, sheathing, Tyvek, flashings, insulation, drywall and acoustical ceilings. We also installed over 300 windows and approx. 1,200 doors. With Benner & White taking on a full carpentry package like this, the G.C. can more easily control the schedule and keep their project flowing effectively, minimizing the headaches of coordinating multiple contractors.

Key players on this project included project Foreman Bob Engler, project Superintendent John Engler and Estimator/Project Manager Greg Landis. B&W’s entire crew on this project worked skillfully and diligently to make sure that Baxter’s vision was properly executed. To view a slideshow, please click here to go to our website.
